Whaling disaster aboard the Ambarque American off Hawaii

The Ambarque American, under Captain Page, arrived in Lahaina after a whaling mishap on June 4 near islands north of Hawaii. Four crew were lost when a whale struck their boat. two others were saved by another boat. Captain Page later brought the ship to port with several crew discipline issues.
