Husband cuts train to save wife after crash

In Norwalk at Carmenita Avenue a freight train dragged a crashed auto with Athena Mechikoft and Terrance Mechikoft aboard. Terrance freed the car by uncoupling a gondola, stopping the train and saving his wife who escaped with minor injuries alongside Nova D. Avents who also had a separate crash nearby.

Plane crashes into home during party killing four crew

A private plane crashed into a suburban Pacoima home during a birthday dinner injuring several and killing four aboard. Police said the rental craft from Chico Airport plummeted into a one story house where eight relatives were dining.
