Grace Kelly, newly titled princess of Monaco, makes a one time radio appearance for the UN Refugee Office in Geneva. The taped show will urge aid for 55 000 Europeans in camps and air on CBS Christmas night in the United States.
In Royse City Texas a church congregation was startled when an electronic fault caused a loudspeaker system to pick up a radio station broadcasting a raucous version of Wake Up Little Susie. The incident disrupted services and drew attention to the church’s sound setup.
Paris premier Felix Gaillard called for a vote of confidence on the 1958 budget now debated in the National Assembly. The vote is set for tomorrow with the government expected to win a comfortable majority.
