A telegram style Caldwell column lists social visits illness recoveries and moves among residents of North Caldwell Bloomfield Avenue and nearby towns. It notes church meetings weather shifts and a few legal notices including a breaking and entering charge against John Mike and a grand jury date for Lindsley family in Forest.
The Caldwell Junior Sunshine Society met Friday at Miss Emily Van Order's home and elected officers: President Miss Van Order, Vice President Miss Painle Espy, Secretary Miss Florence Canted, Treasurer Miss Pearl Wrigot. Twenty new members were enrolled.
The Children’s Auxiliary of the Caldwell Borough Improvement Association met at Association Hall on Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock. They formed classes in rand art embroideries sewing and paragraphs with a notice that details for the next meeting will be distributed in the public school.
The State Board of Agriculture the State Horticultural Society the Grange and the Cranberry Growers Association formed a federation to consolidate effort for agriculture. Officers include President Dr E B Voorhees Secretary Franklin Dye and Treasurer H F Bodine. The federation aims to promote legislation aiding farmers and cooperation among societies.
The Borough Council met Monday night with the Mayor presiding. Minutes of prior meetings were approved. A Thomson Meter Company communication was referred to the Water Committee. Bills totaling 343.54 were referred for payment. A resolution authorized warrants for Borough notes totaling 1,500 1,000 1.50 and for county tax 4351 00 and for water bond interest 400. Hatfield street committee named Condot Bethel and Wright. The meeting adjourned.
Rev. Demetrius Elias Constantin siiozcias Visbanoff M. D. of Salonica Macedonia, a former Greek Catholic convert to Protestantism, faced family persecution and exile. He recounts his conversion and sacrifices at a Caldwell Methodist event tomorrow evening, wearing traditional dress and presenting Macedonian curiosities and language song.
Miss Olive Stager and Preston Harrison Hobwald of Caldwell were united in marriage Sunday night at the Caldwell Presbyterian manse by Rev N B Chester. They planned a short wedding trip and will live on Campbell avenue. The parents Mr and Mrs Marcus Stager presented a check for 150 on the eve of departure.
The new schoolhouse is steadily progressing and near completion. Mr and Mrs Scott and family of Roseland Avenue have moved to Banat Orange. Mrs John Paret and family have closed their house and gone to New York for the remainder of the winter.
The Caldwell Card Club gathered Friday afternoon at Mrs. Maria Crane's Washburn Place home. Prizes were awarded by Mrs. Frederick R Cook, Miss Brittle Force, Miss Grace Beach, and Andrew Wyckoff. Next meeting will be at Hillside House with Miss Anole Anderson to entertain.
Caldwell team defeats Verona opponents John Briggs and Eve Ericcson while Winfield Babcock and James Winschull lose the second match in the Caldwell Verona cribbage series. Verons won the first contest.

The fourth quarterly meeting in Verons was held in the chapel on Tuesday evening. Presiding Elder Hongiaod from the Newark District presided with many officials present. Reports from church departments showed progress and planning for the coming year. Rev. Wilbert Wastcott was unanimously invited to return for another year.
On Monday evening Mrs. Austin E. Gedden of Verona hosted a reception for her husband’s sixty second birthday. The parlor brimmed with relatives and friends as an informal musical program entertained guests and a fine collation followed. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Filmore Condit, Mr. and Mrs. Isaac M. Dobbins, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Hedden, Mr. Earle Hedden, Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Lutyen, Mr. and Mrs. Justin W. Dobbins, Miss Ethel Dobbins, Miss Dors Booth, and Miss Mariyn Todd.
The Caldwell Women's Club met at the Grover House on Friday afternoon with Mrs. I. B. Baldwin hosting. The program featured remarks by Jennie Suderley of Arlington, readings by Milas Mind Beckwith Hose, and a good musical portion.
Seventy six skaters gathered at the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association grounds for combined Canadian and Allied States contests. Morris Wood of Lake, and J Nileson of Minneapolis led multiple events, with Baptie and St. Price notable in others. The day featured fast tracks and strong competition across amateur and professional divisions.

De Camp, a longtime Orange resident and public official, died after kidney failure following an operation. he served as Livingston school board chair among other roles. Funeral services were held at the Livingston Baptist Church with Rev. William R. Burrell officiating.
Rev Albert Robertson of Westfield will preach at the Presbyterian Church tomorrow. The Ladies of the Methodist Church hold their annual supper on Washingtons Birthday. George McClellan has returned home after an operation at Mountainside Hospital. The Literary Society meets at Mrs Alliene Williams home Saturday evening February 18. Lincoln Birthday oyster supper at Roseland Presbyterian Manse hosted by the Woman's Circle with Rev James Robinson to speak. An accident on Roseland avenues Caldwell injures Mr and Mrs William Speer and Miss Louise Speer after a sleigh mishap. horse ran to Dr Bonds residence. Mrs Preston Williams hosts a Ladies Sewing Circle reception on Wednesday afternoon with twenty seven ladies present and a gesture of appreciation to the president.
Northfield report notes Miss Mivnie Collins visiting Mr and Mrs Joseph Collins of Orange. A codal at the home of Mr and Mrs Rees occurred on the night in question. Pastor Regor of St Cloud Prosan Church attended and the group proceeded to the Baptist Church Sunday morning.
A brief notice states the German and English Soolmyre ot Fisabunsholle will hold an event in February with members and attendees welcomed.
A birthday sleigh ride for Ernest Jacobus with friends, a Willing Workers meeting led by Mrs Lewis Captain, and a lecture by a New York expert under the Porwightly Club auspices at the Congregational Church. The Isabella Literary Club will meet Tuesday February 14 at Mrs Bertha Rogers home on Fairview Avenue. Mrs Iberiden and Mrs Taylor assist in entertaining. A poet will present and a supply of valentines or cards will be prepared for the Home for Crippled Children. Dr Charles Woodruff of Bloomfield will speak on Foreign and American Homes. The meeting begins promptly at 2 30 PM.
Mr and Mrs W Barnette hosted a whist party on Wednesday evening in Verona. Prizes went to Mrs W P Rich and Mrs Handel of Newark. Mr John W Sisyback and Mr W B Rich contributed their efforts to the games in a pleasant evening in the dining room.
A benefit event described as a musical tea was held to aid the public library. The program featured Mrs Gillett Pogee and Mrs Mia, with proceeds directed to library funds.
