Sutro Tunnel Plan for Silver Bowl Creek Mining Drainage
A proposed tunnel starting on Silver Bowl Creek near Centennial sill would run north to Rancho Jode, draining 100 plus leads at depths from 20 to 600 feet over about one and a quarter miles. It envisions surveying, staking every 50 feet, and shared funding via joint stock or individual depths, aiming to drain a large mining area and unlock rich ledges rivaling Washoe.
