Montana Mines Report Strong Silver Find at Argentum
Reports from Jefferson City say the Montana Company has struck the largest silver ore body in the Territory at Argentum, 1160 feet deep. Ore assays run from 110 to 120 dollars per ton in silver with 4 percent lead. Superintendent Phil Saunders leads a forve of workers to install a new concentrator within 60 days. The 17 concentrators will form the Western region’s most complete setup, with total project cost not less than 150000 dollars.
