Butte Produce Market and Syphon Game Noted
At the Butte Produce Market potatoes sell for 24c, oats 43c, cabbage and beets 6c, turnips 24c, beans 30c per gai, bacon 18 to 20c. The syphon game, recently brought here by a scientific gentleman, grows in favor as hot weather persists. Two to a dozen players join for sympathy while each acts independently. A large eng glass tumbler holds the fluid. a straw forms the long leg guiding to the operator’s mouth, taking about three minutes to transfer the liquid, with calls to “set ’em up again” for an indefinite number of repeats.
