Bond and quit claim deed rules for bonds in mining deals
A dated advisory outlines securing a quit claim deed at bond expiration to protect owner rights, especially where forfeiture or deposit trends occur. The note stresses including this in the bond and mentions forces and movements in a separate 1876 field report from Fort Laramie and surrounding commands.
Prospecting boom at Groom's Creek and Virginia mines
The Arizona Miner reports busy prospecting at Groom's Creek with six companies locating on Victorine lodge and five working. Emil Gang shows seven feet depth with ten inches ore, Willis & Co. drift from sixty-foot shaft with an 80 inch vein. Pat Hamilton reopens Goodwin mine to send ore to Turkey Creek smelter. Eureka Sentinel notes Meadow Valley mining boom and deep tunnels at Treasure Mountain. White Pine tunnels may unlock broader ore. Warren Hussey repairs Wide West mill. 200–300 tons of ore await processing. Foot Hill Tidings cite further tunneling near Allison Ranch and strong mine prospects from Omaha and Yuba Company improvements. Washington and Idaho areas show new prospecting points and promising free gold. Helena Herald mentions Richard McNeil’s placer claim profit and Captain Dusold’s gold dust from Avalanche gulch.
