Fire destroys Williams Bros wood and iron ware rooms
Early Tuesday morning a fire wiped out Williams Bros three large ware rooms behind their grocery, storing buggies, wagons, and farm machinery. Firemen saved Yantrees Bros shop and the Christian church, but the north side faced a near disaster. Buildings insured for 1,000. stock loss undetermined but likely not fully covered. Origin unknown. Also noted a Friday afternoon ladies reception at Mrs. Max Weiner's North Main home with autumn flowers and refreshments.
