Miss A Lee Owen, expert stenographer, was slugged and robbed of her notes during testimony before the Kansas City police board. Mayor Crittenden offered 100 reward, Missouri state 300, and private donors about 2000 for the arrest of her assailant George Bourquin. Bourquin suspects thieves targeted chicken coops. Missouri law treats chicken stealing as a minor offense. Also includes a Denver convention note for the Colorado Bankers Association and a brief on Gay L Emerson of Silverton National Bank.
