A Houston shooting affray left Thomas Payne and L T Echols dead after an indictment for hog stealing. J B Perkins was fatally shot, Dave Echols badly wounded. Payne’s son was on trial. Echols witnesses had gathered when the fight broke out. Perkins wounded Dawe Echols and Payne, and the street crowd scattered as shots rang out. Weather remains dry and local notes follow.
