Vail Murder Trial Moves Through Week of Witnesses
State of Missouri v George Vail reached jury selection and opened testimony in circuit court after sixty veniremen were examined. Prosecution outlined facts, defense followed as witnesses described the night of the fire, the injuries to Mrs Vail and the head wounds, and accounts of events including a fire and gunshot sounds. The courtroom remains crowded as 175 witnesses have been subpoenaed and more testimony is expected.
