Postponed events at the M E Church due to bad weather. Residents report visitors, moves, and social gatherings including birthdays, tin wedding anniversaries, and a saw mill accident. The area notes heavy snow, disrupted mail, train delays, and neighbors sharing news from Foster and Pleasant Gap.
In Around Maysburg the Christian Church hosts Sunday school with 24 visitors and teacher Miss Audria Guthrie doing fine work. Various local families including Sterling Harness, Mr. Coonrod, Mr. White, R. K. Godwin, and Harve Harness shared visits, meals, and music across Sunday and Monday as residents update homes, wash, and attend social gatherings.
John Phelps hauled coal from Rich Hill last Wednesday and is on the sick list. J W Jones and wife with baby leave Thursday for Albia Iowa to establish a new home. Lon Smith and family attended a dance at Ida Clark’s last Wednesday and had a good time. Dr Patterson and Mell Campbell traveled to Butler Saturday on business. Walter and Lela Smith stayed Saturday night and Sunday with John Ehart. Clif Ehartt and wife and baby with Warnie Keeton visited Henry Ehart Sunday. Dr Patterson had a sore eye for two weeks and is improving. Mrs Ben Pickett was sick Sunday with heart trouble but is better. Jack Skaggs and family visited Lon Smith Sunday. Milt Reeves and Clif Ehart hauled logs to the mill Monday. Orval Pickett and wife spent Monday night with Homer Lindendolt. John Phelps is on the sick list. News in this neighborhood snowed under this week.
