Death of Mrs Douglass Seen by Town Family
Mrs. Douglass died at her son Charley Douglass’s home one and a half miles east of town on Saturday night February 10. Funeral services were held at the homestead Monday afternoon by Rev. Talbert. Neighbors and relatives noted recent visits and varied local happenings, including birthdays, visits, and a new baby born to Roy and Mrs. Jones on February 11.

Lon Smith and family moved three miles west of Foster. Mrs Lamasters moved back home. Bob Sproul sawed wood for J A Patterson Friday. L P Wade from 8 F Baker Co was in the area early last week. Mrs Mat Simpson and mother visited with Willie Simpson and wife Friday and Saturday. Mrs Jack Skaggs cousin and family from Johnstown visited Thursday and Friday. Mr Bell shipped a car of hogs from Nyhart last Wednesday. John Phelps and wife and granddaughter Thelma Richmond spent Sunday with Frank Miller and family. Jack Skaggs and family visited John Jones and family Sunday afternoon. Brick McCaughey and Lee Compton hauled coal from Rich Hill one day last week. Mr Keeton visited in Elkhart last Wednesday. Rural Home Makers Meet at Miss Wixs Home
The Rural Home Makers Club met February 7 at Miss Cora Wix’s home with eleven members and two visitors.
