AG Metzler traveled to Butler as a round trip passenger on Thursday. Robert Woods of Mound City attended a funeral here on Monday. We regret to report Mrs. Hanniman's serious illness at her home in this city. H. E. Arbogast and family spent a few days at Worland visiting relatives. Mrs Claude Cobb enjoyed a recent stay in Leavenworth Kansas. Miss Minnie Frankenfield returned home from Sylvia Kansas where she spent the summer. Hazel Bankeon of Rich Hill visited friends here Friday and Saturday. Mary Fank of Old Walnut visited her parents near Butler Saturday and Sunday. Mrs Leslie Vogel of Independence Missouri is visiting her parents Prof. and Mrs. Gallatin here. Dr Harold made a business trip to Kansas City earlier this week. John Wirt of Kansas City, who has been visiting his parents here, departed for home Thursday. A T Benosky of Kansas City came by earlier in the week to look after coal interests. Bud and Wayne Beattie and sister Alice returned home from Kansas City Sunday. Rowland Arbogast left Sunday for Hume to work as engineer for the Whitefard Coal Co. Mrs Jim Treasure and her little son of Nevada arrived to visit relatives here Sunday. Mrs Sule Heckadon of the neighborhood has been poorly with toniloitis.
