Rev Gilbreath to lead meetings in Peru after Sunday sermon

Reports from Foster district recount a busy week with Rev. Gilbreath preaching in Peru last Sunday night and planning a series of meetings there starting Monday night February 14. Death of W E Corwine's ten month old son

The ten month old son of W E Corwine died Friday of pneumonia and was interred at Bethel on Saturday. Another Corwine child is convalescent. Community sympathy extends to the family. Wood Hill and wife from Urich attended the funeral and visited relatives. Bert Van Sant and family planned a Gypsum Colorado move. Andrew Potts and family will move to northeastern Oklahoma to take up a purchased farm. Minnie Christie teaches a spring term in the Woodae northwest part.

Successful Opening of State Bank and Walton Trust Rooms

The Missouri State Bank and Walton Trust Company held a public open house last Saturday for their new banking rooms, drawing thousands of visitors day and night. J B Walton and Frank Allen greeted guests while staff guided tours, explaining designs and services. Punch wafers and music enhanced the event, and a life size oil portrait of William E Walton, hung in the north lobby, honored the founder and promoter of both institutions.
