Dairyman Jack Mayer plans to wed Otie Burge in Versailles Ky and settle in Merwin after a short honeymoon. Local trips note Mr Wood’s Joplin business stop and Clyde Patterson shopping in Drexel. Mrs Dahl and Mrs W S Lewis visit Mrs J L Hays. Chester Keller of Judon Mo visits his brother in law across the line. Stitt party Saturday night enjoys a good time. Mr Cash and wife visit Mr Potter’s family Sunday. Uncle John Alexander improving and visited by A D and Mrs M Jolly. Mrs Bertha Wirtt returns to Kansas. Neil Gunnels returns home to Kansas. Circuit court stenographer Chas W Fulkerson learns his mother is gravely ill in Kansas City and travels there. she dies Friday night of pneumonia. Funeral held at Clinton Monday. Mrs Fulkerson, sister of P A Parks and Mrs C C Dickinson of Clinton, was a woman of fine attainments. Her husband died years ago. She leaves two sons Chas W of Clinton and another in Kansas Werrensburg Star Journal.
