Ellensburg Washington July 30 excitement grows over a gold find near Swakin. Nuggets the size of a thimble have been found and the vein runs four feet wide eighty feet below the surface. J P Williams of Springfield township reports a strange small dog in the Clinton area that bit a twelve year old boy, Mr Wells and his dog, a son of Mr Middlecoff, another dog, and Miss Ida Fowler. The dog reportedly bit Fritz Datchler’s daughter and caused a mad stone visit at Windsor. Neighboring towns recount similar canine madness with a Widow Stewart dog also going mad in Leesville.
