Notice announces a general meeting of the Byles Mongolata Gold Mining Company on October 16 1947 at 11 am at Clare South Australia to lay before shareholders an account of winding up for the year ended August 16 1947 and to follow with a final winding up statement.
The public is notified that the business at Burra North formerly run by Mr T G Secker has been acquired by H H Ferguson and will be taken over on Monday 22 September 1947. Patrons are asked for continued support.
The Burra School Welfare Club held its September meeting in the Assembly Hall with good attendance despite bad weather. Members approved final plans for a pet show on September 27 at the Burra North Children’s Playground. a trading table raised 9/10 and afternoon tea was provided by Mrs Reed and Mrs Jennison. The next meeting is scheduled for October 7.
