The Burra Bowling Club held a well attended opening last Saturday with record-like crowds. President Mrs Pinch received the pennant from the Burra Gold Showed Association Premiers 1947 48 and Mr Scott praised the season ahead. Mrs Hawker MP G Stanley Hawker opened ceremonies with remarks then Mrs Finch rolled the kitty and first bowl. Afternoon tea and treats were served as croquet opened the season.
