Hospital Board Applauds Red Cross Organisers
Burra Hospital Board thanked the Red Cross branch for energetic efforts in the recent Hospital Drive. A letter from the Red Grass Branch indicated a donation could cover half the cost of a new X Ray plant and other upgrades, with government subsidy funding the rest. Funds will also buy a handbasin nursery items and sterilising equipment.

Inspection Day at Collinsville Stud Rams Event
The 16th April annual inspection of Collinsville stud Rams drew about 200 men from across the Commonwealth except Tasmania to view over 100 rams. Attendees praised the animals for quality wool and adaptability to dry eastern conditions, with several rams noted as superior to prior shows. Mr Collins reported booking all saleable flock rams, tea was served by Mrs Collins and daughters, and the event was declared a great success.
