Annual St Patrick Ball in Burra funds drive
The Annual St Patrick's Ball was held at Burra Town Hall on March 19 to aid Church Funds. A large, varied attendance from surrounding districts enjoyed dancing to Darrel Field's Band, with flowers, supper prepared by Merdames Win Dower and H Kakoachke, and helpers including Mrs E G Barratt and M A Hegarty. Dancing continued to 2 am accompanied by raffle and rink events, with teams and individuals listed in post-ball notes. Anzac Sunday service arrangements and clubroom facilities were announced for April 27 and country members invited to use facilities for tea prior to the Church of England service.
