The District Council of Hallett held a March 1 1948 meeting with Dr W G Miller chairing and six other members present. Various correspondence covered water supply for Terowie playground and Soldiers Memorial, a water pipe under a road, fire control plans, X Ray survey, Mantoux skin tests, a Saturday Burra train extension, stock and stray horses notices, Hallett track drainage, weed concerns, electric supply poles to Terowie School, and several deed registrar changes. Budgets were reviewed. cemetery accounts sent to solicitor. repairs arranged for MR 357 road works. and payments approved: Government Grants Main Roads 81 6 7, District Roads 26 9 6, Grant in Aid 40 5 8, District Funds 651 0 3.
