St Marys Guild Social Afternoon Pleases Large Female Crowd
On June 24 the St Marys Ladies Guild hosted a social afternoon in the Parish hall with about 50 attendees. Rev. Pettet welcomed guests, thanked visiting guilds from Kooringa, Redruth, Boobcrowle, Farrell Flat, and Black Springs, and a tea was served after a program including piano recital, duets, and a talk by Mrs Hawker on Malaya. Proceeds totaled £12 from door, donations, trading table and raffle won by Rev. Pettet.
