Farrell Flat Well Petition Spurs Local Deputation

At Martell Plain on Tuesday June 3 a large yarding and sale occurred with 1875 sheep 1208 sold 15 cattle 11 shown and 8 pigs. Buyers from Adelide Mintaton Indian Homley Bridge Jamestown and districts attended. Wethers ewes and fat cattle prices were noted and the sale deemed satisfactory. Progress Association met Wednesday night with Mayor Carpenter and Mr Baulderstone pledging to forward a petition to the Minister and Burra Council urging petrol station support and signatures from Lott Cummings and others.

Endeavour To Interest U S Mining Co In Burra Copper Mines
