Burra District Council Meets January 5 1953
District Council of Burra held its January meeting with electing Dr M de N Lucas as chairman. Minutes from December 1952 were confirmed. Reports covered vermin destruction plans, subsidy applications for firefighting appliances, railways engine fire risk, water pipe duplication, road repairs, reed destruction methods, and road drainage. Accounts totaling 421 pounds 7 shillings 3 pence, 1768 15 2, and other grants were approved.
