An Interesting Re Union at Ketebowla Station
A Christmas Day reunion at Ketebowla Station near Burra brought together eleven members of the Dearlove family. The late Mr and Mrs William Dearlove began their South Australian life in 1854, with the property later owned by their sons. The family noted the region's endurance through droughts and pests, and mentioned Dearlove Bra, a local printing firm. Several relatives listed include Mrs C Davey, Mrs Louisa Daves Netherby, Miss TH Dearlove, and others at Ketchowla and Worumba stations. The only loss in the family since the last gathering was Cpl Thomas Dearlove who died in France in 1917.
