The Burra North FF.CF UNIT 3195 held its fortnightly meeting with the vice president presiding in the president's absence. Minutes, correspondence, and financial reports were read. social plans discussed. fundraising at the trading table noted. donations listed. and an auditor resignation announced.
End of year events at Burra High School featured a Parents and Friends Association banquet presided by Mrs A Rigas. The assembly hall glowed with flowers as the school choir performed. The annual report outlined enrollment, staff, subjects, war effort, and achievements, with awards and house system notes.
An annual end of year program at Mt Bryan East School featured the Nations Anthem, recitations by pupils from grades 1 to 7, a school fife and band, carols, and a play halted by Lori Simmons and others. The head teacher presented the annual report noting district sports success, fundraising totals, and awards.
The Avatory Loan program reports its national total surpassing £ 16,000 but not reaching expected levels in many districts.
