Burra Rifle Club members shot the Mileenth stage of the Colline Trophy at 500 and 600 yards amid mirage and light wind. Lloyd led scores while reading for the Baldina Trophy. eight members head to Port Adelaide state prize meeting next week with practice planned for the 300 yard range and two snap shooting events.
The Local Board of Health heard Dr W B Steven report on Paxton Square housing. Inspectors found 33 houses with poor sanitation, empty water tanks, no bathrooms, inadequate privies, and vermin risk. executives debated demolition or upgrades to improve living conditions.

A Chief Secretary communication states the Hospital is governed by rules, limiting Burra Town Council to one member. A deputation was discussed but Dr Mars ton suggested resolving by letter for a good hearing from the Board.
Burra council complains grants exceed spend on roads due to labour shortages. Tenders for metal were not received, forcing use of quarry prices with freight costs. Government grants may shrink if local spending is reduced, prompting talk of borrowing to buy machinery and reduce reliance on manual labor.
