Cars Collide In Market Square Debris and Damages Reported

Two vehicles collided in Market Square on Tuesday night at about 5 45 pm. Samuel Ernest Garrard of Burra drove east on Commercial Street toward Kingston Street and Norman Francis Kate of Whyalla traveled south. Both cars were damaged but no injuries were reported. Gar rard’s car sustained extensive damage with a broken front spring assembly windscreen and near front wheel. it was towed to a garage.

Council Calls For Report On Cemetery

Burra Town Council discusses cemetery condition after widespread fire damage to shrubs and trees. A full time Curator may be appointed and a report will be tabled next meeting. The council also limits open spare graves to two at a time and orders other graves filled until needed.

Collision in Burra injures two drivers sideswipe

A Thursday evening crash at about 5 pm in Burra involved a motor truck driven by Kevin White and a tourer car driven by John Bogisch. The truck backed from the kerbs while Bogisch sought a parking space. no injuries were reported though the tourer sustained damage to its hood and body.
