Burra Town Council Minutes Take Action on Stray Stock
Burra Town Council met on Monday 4 April 1949 with His Worship the Mayor and councilors present. The clerk reported no minute forbidding donations. £1 1s 0d was voted to Children’s Hospital. Various correspondence, including rail timetable notes, allotment transfers, voting for Shell Australia, and a motor showroom request, was considered. Public works included street lamp additions, platform repairs, and tree removals. a plan for Bevan to retire from re-election was noted. The next meeting was set for 20 April. accounts were approved and the meeting adjourned.
