Seed corn shipment travels to Young America Friday
Elmer Davis drove the A. F. Galbreth truck to Young America Friday and returned with fifty one bushels of seed corn for Idaville farmers. The corn was bought from Dr. Lybrook who had over two thousand bushels left from the 1916 crop and sold it at six dollars per bushel. The lot was cleared and the farm resembled a fair ground with many teams moving about.

Simon A. Dobbins longtime county figure and former sheriff died Saturday at his Reynolds home after years of illness from diabetic gangrene. He served four years as sheriff and was known as a sale cryer and active political worker. Funeral was held at the family home Monday and burial followed at Palestine cemetery.
