A Lafayette motor scene shift reports Dodge agency changes. On January 2 1923 H E spaniel company takes over the Auto plant at Sixth and Cobunine streets. Daniels company relocates to Horner stand on January 1 and will operate a general garage. Mr Horner succeeds Steinhart in the Six and Columbia building. Daniels to retire from Dodge agency in Monticello as W N Gray moves to Lafayette.

Mit Mertz installed a radio at home and on Christmas evening the family heard Station KTP from the Times office in Los Angeles provide a program with vocal solos by the Olympia sisters and Bryant and violin pieces. A canary’s song was clearly heard among the selections, as if the bird were in the room. Mertz sent a note to the Times office with the day and hour of the broadcast and appreciation.

Will Feed Many Cattle For Summer Market
Emory and Frank Godlove living southwest of Idaville gather a drove of 150 head of cattle for summer markets. They already have over one hundred head in feed lots and will continue buying to match pasture capacity. They prefer Shorthorn steers 650 to 750 pounds for best feeding results, including a carload of black poll ed steers from the Chicago market. The herd will be lightly grain fed until spring then turned to blue grass pasture with a heavy grain ration.
