Golden Wedding Celebration At Idaville For Mr. And Mrs. Johnsonbaugh
Mr and Mrs Joln Johnsonbaugh of Idaville celebrated their Golden Wedding at home last Sunday. Daughters Eva Wright and Jennie Neal shared the day with out of town guests from Cedarville Wil ore Lake Cicott Burnettsville and Monticello. Reverend Morris officiated at five oclock renewing vows long delayed and old friends recalled memories from fifty years ago. A dinner and jovial gathering followed with many gifts and warm wishes for the couple.

Obituary for Samuel A Albright of Cass township
Samuel A Albright born February 24 1842 in Junette county Pennsylvania died December 17 1928 from liver cancer and related illnesses at age 86 9 23. He served in the Union Army in the Civil War and married Jennie E Shiedler in 1869. Survived by four children Orval E Elva E Truax C D Albright LD Albright thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren with siblings in South Milford California and Wolcottville. He moved from Monon to Cass township five years ago and was buried February 19 in Monon cemetery with Rev P F Scales officiating.

Neighbors Help Sam Wolf Gather Corn After Loss
Thirty three neighbors from Camden area gathered at Sam Wolf’s home Tuesday of last week to husk and crib 26 acres of corn. The act came after the death of Mrs. Wolf, who had been ill, leaving Mr. Wolf unable to gather the harvest.

Turkeys and hogs sold ahead of Thanksgiving in Kokomo
Perry Cole, a farmer, sold ten turkeys and ten hogs in Kokomo the day before Thanksgiving. Hogs averaged 160 pounds and brought 8 dollars each. Turkeys weighed over 20 pounds and yielded 39 dollars 28 cents on average or 45 cents per pound. Each turkey netted 1.23 dollars more than a 1606 pound hog.

Lucerne Woman Fatally Burned in Fuel Mixup Accident
Mrs. James LaMasters, 50, died after her clothing caught fire while she lit a stove at home in Lucerne. She mistook a gasoline can for kerosene, flames burned her body and kitchen walls, causing about $200 property loss before neighbors stopped the blaze. Her husband and two South Bend daughters survive.

Gordon Road Change Seeks Out of Court Settlement via Highway Commission
The Cass County dispute over Gordon Road may be settled out of court with state highway commission involvement. A proposed realignment would shift State Road 7 to avoid the Burley Hollow curve, starting east of Burnettsville and routing via Stuart Road, Gordon Road, Casparis quarries, and the Tarvia Road railroad subway west of Logansport. The plan, considering short turns and hills, offers little improvement over the existing Burley Hollow route.

Ben Stuart’s family returned from Purdue to spend vacation. two relatives joined from Danville and Goshen. Sam McVey and wife left for Kalamazoo to take positions at the State Infirmary. Roy Fowler learned of a stepmother’s death in Oxford Ohio. she will visit Union County en route home. J C Duffey hosted Christmas dinner with Ruth Duffey, Fred Duffey, Carson Duffey, George Duffey, and William Duffey.
