John W. Nethercutt, a Burnettsville pioneer and longtime local businessman, died December 18 1913 at age 83 after a Civil War era career. Born November 29 1830 in Eaton Dark County Ohio he lived in Indiana most of his life and was a charter M E church member. Surviving are four sons Alfred H William E Clifford H and Arch O and twelve grandchildren. Funeral services were at the M E church conducted by pastor W I Boyd.
