At a crossing on South Cicott Street near the Wabash river an interurban car struck a five passenger Ford killing Bert McCain and wife Mrs Maggie B Loniz and Mrs Bessie Taylor and her two year old son Dale Edwin all residents of Camden. Police say the auto driver misjudged the crossing.

Four year old Miriam Duffey, daughter of Mr and Mrs Fred Duffey of Logansport, nearly drowned while riding in a boat on the Wabash River at Pottowattomie Point Sunday afternoon. Fred Duffey jumped in after her but heavy water muddiness delayed rescue. she swallowed water but was revived.
