Four Men Injured When Auto Skidded Near Logansport
Four men were injured when an auto driven by Cash Hitchens of Logansport left the Pleasant Grove pike Saturday night. Hitchens suffered a broken jaw and multiple wounds requiring twenty stitches. Wilbur Hitchens, Sturgeon, and a fourth man also sustained injuries. The party had left Logansport to fish at Lake Maxinkugee.

Rockfield Soldier Missing In Action Since July 1 in France
Mrs Annie Bohannon of Rockfield reports war department notice that her son Sergeant Harry M Bohannon is missing in action in France since July 1. He was 27, first Rockcreek township enlistee, joined May 8 1917 at Logansport. He served in 38th Infantry landed in France April 15 1918. Bohannon family has eight in service.

All June Checks Mailed to War Dependents
The treasury's war risk insurance bureau mailed the last of 900,000 June allotment and government allowance checks on July 31 to dependents of soldiers. The first July checks were sent August 1. Lake Cicott Farmer Loses Barn to Fire
Arthur Williamson of about one and a half miles southeast of Lake Cicott suffered the loss of his barn and its contents last Friday night. The fire began around ten o clock and spread rapidly destroying farming implements harness and roughly fifteen to twenty tons of hay stored in the loft. The total loss was about two thousand dollars with spontaneous combustion blamed for starting the blaze.

All Rough Roads From County Line to Logan
