A representative of the group of defendants reportedly Hiss met with a representative of the Board of directors who were the plaintiffs in a show cause hearing in judge Jenny Hammond s 33rd District court most of those involved prefer not to discuss the actions which resulted in seven Buchanan dam residents having a temporary restraining order issued against them april 26. Judge Hammond ordered the temporary injunction be denied and that the temporary restraining order be lifted after an eight hour court session during which participants did not even break for lunch wednesday. The judge told both factions to Quot Settle their problems among themselves preferably without the defendants were Ruel d. Norman c. L. Banta Bill Mcfadden Regina Hauck Wayne Clarke Mildred Logan and Ellen t. Dake. Apparently Quot things just came to a head Quot recently in the Volunteer organization at the Lake. One faction feels that the Board of trustees of the acc Mfd should not control the ladies auxiliary or the Volunteer fire department. They also feel the Board of trustees should not be a self perpetuating Beady. The Board of trustees of the corporation is the governing body for both the Volunteer fire department and the auxiliary. Both groups have their own separate presidents and officers. No one is quite sure of the five defendants who had been members of the acc Veo Board of trustees were reinstated to their positions by the judge. The matter apparently ended up in court after the officers and fire chiefs of the Volunteer fire department and the auxiliary received registered letters informing them they had been removed from office by the Board of trustees. The officers removed from office by registered letters were Mcfadden president of the fire department mrs. Norman president of the ladies auxiliary fire chief c. L. Banta fire department Secretary treasurer Regina Hauck and assistant fire chief Wayne Clark. The letters were received following the circulation of a Quot proposal Quot requesting signatures. The proposal reportedly read in effect that Quot if one Side will do something the other will the temporary injunction enjoined and restrained the defendants from the following circulating any instrument which seeks to discourage the general Public in their support of the acc Mfd or which seeks to induce auxiliary workers of the acc Mfd to not work in the program or to not support it making any Public statements designed to malign belittle barrets Embarrass derogate in any manner the program of the acc Mfd or its Board of trustees for the purpose of inducing the general Public to cease its support of the acc Mfd coming on or about the premises of the acc Mfd at any time for any purpose whatever communicating with the Board of trustees their families or agents servants employees or associates any time or place harassing interfering with molesting or communicating with any of tha Volunteer firemen or auxiliary workers cd the acc Mfd or its invited guests seeking in any manner to induce Volunteer firemen or auxiliary workers of the acc Mfd to not perform their work seeking in any manner to discourage the general Public from using the facilities of acc Mfd continuing to withhold any property of whatever nature belonging to the acc Mfd seeking to derogate in any manner whatever acc Mfd title in an to its property. Ted White executive director of the Alta told the Board that 300,000 copies of the new brochure Are ready for distribution.
