Kingsland Teens Die In Head On Crash Near Llano

Dan Reagan age 15 and sister Sue 13 were killed at the scene in a head on collision about 2 miles east of Llano on State Rd 29. Their sister Debbie 17 survived with injuries and the other driver Melinda Shipp 18 was treated for lacerations. The Rev Dwight Reagan, pastor, heads the family in Kingsland with funeral services held at Kingsland Baptist Church.

Burnet considers Georgia firm for airport fixed base operator

Burnet City Council will hear proposals from two Georgia men to establish a fixed base operator at the city airport. The plan includes maintenance, rebuilding, aircraft sales, charter flights, and instruction. City Manager Tippit notes one partner will present. Highland Lakes to Crown Miss Highland Lakes Pageant

The Highland Lakes Tourist Association approved a June pageant in Llano with about three contestants from each community. Miss Highland Lakes will advance to Miss Texas Universe in El Paso on August 7. The event precedes a dinner and supports the Bluebonnet Trail and Clean Scene month efforts.

Marble Falls Board to vote on new coach and athletic director

Marble Falls trustees will decide whether to accept Charles Hundley’s recommendation for a new head coach and athletic director after interviewing 15 of 58 applicants and 96 inquiries. If rejected, Hundley will nominate another candidate. Other items include district insurance bids, policy adoptions, season family basketball passes, budget amendments, and a Feb 21 curriculum meeting with Ruth Denny detailing fine arts education.
