Hickson Awarded Damages In Court
In Burnet County District Court last Thursday P B Hickson and E V Lyons residents of Cassie Subdivision were awarded 3000 and 1 dollars respectively in damages against Don Reich. The suit filed December 11 1974 sought 6000 in actual damages and 650000 in exemplary damages over a fight with Reich and two others. Reichs counter suit asking 150000 in actual damages was denied. The case arises from a dispute over a RR 690 to Old Highway 29 extension that would divide Reichs ranch. Attorneys included Edith Roberts R Savage and John C Wilson for Reich. The court noted Lyons instigated the incident leading to reduced damages. The ruling follows depositions and a verbal battle in which all claim injuries.
