Great Demonstration in Burlington attracts 6 000 people to ratify Lincoln Hamlin and Potter nominations. Delegations from Racine Waterford Rochester and others arrive by train with Wide Awake clubs and bands. Speakers including Gov. Randall Lieut Gov Noble and Senator Doolittle deliver stirring addresses. torchlight procession ends in a large crowd celebration.
