Scout Troop 155 Attends Summer Camp at Perkins Reservation
Twenty five scouts from Troop 155 attended the first week of summer camp at Perkins Reservation June 4 10. The troop earned first place in camping and won the competitive swim event. Several scouts received merit badges old honors and swimming awards while many were named honor campers during Order of the Arrow ceremonies. Officials plan a barbecue and Court of Honor on June 29 to recognize accomplishments.

Burkburnett Soldier Harlan Slusser Dies in Vietnam
Pfc. Harlan Ray Slusser 19 of Burkburnett was killed during an ambush patrol in Vietnam. He joined the Army in 1966 and arrived in Vietnam May 8. Funeral arrangements are by Owens & Brumley Funeral Home. He is survived by his parents, siblings, a half sister, and grandmothers.
