Collie Coalminers Unite Sees Export Hope

Mr H. McCulloch president of the Collie Coalminers Union spoke at Sundays Labour Conference noting Banbury’s little notice of the Tone departing as the first overseas coal cargo. He said the agreement at the ALF conference could boost rail use of Collie coal and benefit miners and owners with a hopeful outlook.

Bunbury Rifle Club Sees Tight Finish For Trophies

Eighteen members shot the 200 and 300 yard ranges in the 8th and fine shoot for the Rocks trophy and the Spoon. Teede won the Spoon on the count back after several high scores. The Cocks trophy contest ended in a duel with Ryan and Blythe tying on 461. Ryan won the deciding shoot off by half a point while Hill and Nesbitt shared second.
