Banbury Traders Discuss Holtzmann Honors and Band Funds
Banbury Traders Association met to pay tribute to the late Mr Harry Holtzmann with sympathy to his widow. They heard reports on the band’s finances, with subscriptions barely meeting salaries and uniforms in need. Deliberations covered correspondence with other associations and proposals to use repatriation grants for Busteltor Capel Road works.

Remembering Lieut Percy Blythe M M at Bunbury church
The memory of Bunbury’s son Lieut Percy Blythe M M was honoured at the Congregational Church with a tablet unveiling. Letters from officers praised his brave death at Morlancourt on 16 June last year while leading a small party to silence a German gun. He rests at Franvillers, France, and Bunbury’s loss is tempered by the hope his example endures for the state.
