4-H Banquet honors many with awards in Forest City
Three hundred eighty members leaders and parents attend the annual 4-H banquet at Immanuel Lutheran Church Forest City November 17. Rev. Sidney Rand Waldorf College president urged self knowledge as the program recognized outstanding 4-H girls LaVonne Sime Ruth Thompson Lorraine Engebretson and boy Roger Moe with cash prizes and plaques. Awards covered meat dairy meat animal and leadership among others with many special recognitions and demonstrations by girls and boys 4-H groups.

Forest City FFA Boys Install Local Officers
Forest City FFA gathered on Tuesday November 4 with 45 members to support the meeting. The Greenhands were initiated and then advanced to Chapter Farmers as officers were installed before adjournment. Lunch was provided by Donald Potter, Roy Bowers, Duanne Feldick and Jack Meyers with cake ice cream and chocolate milk.
