In Forest City Tuesday night Winnebago County teams Lake Mills Buffalo Center Searville and Thompson competed in the annual jamboree. Thompson led early as Forest City and Thompson combined to defeat Lake Mills 37 to 35 with Buffalo Center and Rake contributing. Tonight Lakota high school faces Forest City and Friday they meet Forest City Indians in the conference jamboree.

Over $300 Raised For Boy Scouts

Business Mens Club Plans For Christmas Dinner Meeting
About twenty five to thirty members of the Business Men's Club met at City Hall on Monday evening November 14 for a dinner and business session. A chicken dinner was served by Mrs. Oscar Price. President Don Beste led the meeting as minutes from September were read and approved. Discussion focused on city signs with no action. matter to be carried to next meeting. Ray Murray was voted in as a member after Jack Kopp proposed him. Decorations for Christmas were entrusted to Kopp, Slaba, and Eldredge. Scout uniforms funds were referred to the Scout Committee with power to act. Free holiday shows were assigned to a committee to arrange with Mgr. Becker of the Iowa Theatre. A colored movie "The Miracle of Milk" was shown after adjournment, illustrated by John Steinmetz.
