H J Schutter returned from Piqua Ohio with a new combined funeral coach and ambulance. The 6 cylinder Meteor engine unit seats two attendants and provides protection in all weathers. The coach is designed to serve the community with modern comforts and safety for patient transport to hospitals as needed.
A man engaged in local work died following a hospital operation in Minnesota. His death came after a Tuesday illness and family mourns his quiet nature. Funeral services set for Friday morning at the Colhiotle church with Reverend Rey officiating.

Dorothy Mullies of Amey and Boyd Young united in marriage at the G. L. Costigan home in Ames on Saturday afternoon November 2. Rev. C. Thompson officiated. The couple will reside in Ames where Mrs. Young works as a stenographer. Young is Costigan’s niece.

Three unmasked, well dressed men robbed the Titonka Savings Bank Monday shortly before 4 o'clock, escaping with about $4,000 in cash. Bank officers Bruns and Boyken were forced to the floor. a teller was left startled but unhurt. Vigilantes and lawmen pursued as a car with black plates and red numbers fled north toward Cerro Gordo and Winnebago counties. Suspects linked to a Storm Lake Iowa listing were questioned as roads were patrolled and Minnesota authorities notified.
