The State Conservation Commission will plant a new 90 day rice variety in Iowa marshes at Dunbar Slough Jefferson Dan Greene Slough Ruthven Barringer Slough. Kossuth 4 H clubs may send two delegates to the District 4 H Camp at Clear Lake June 6 7 8 with a 1956 program featuring a lake shore campfire Breelings from an International Farm Youth Exchange a skit by older 4 Hers and notable speakers. Camp activities cover leathercraft lustre lace outdoor cookery swimming and boating. eligibility requires members be fourteen by June 1 1956 and submit a camp registration by May 21 at the County Extension Office in Algona. Local readers Mr and Mrs Bob Adams and children arrived in town for a weekend visit.

Banquet To Honor Beresford Quaife In Winnebago County
Winnebago County friends of Rex Beresford and Elvin Quaife are invited to a June 7 banquet in Ames honoring their four decades of livestock leadership. A portraits presentation and a Quaife Beresford recognition award will be part of the program noting Quaife's long service since 1917 and Beresford's cattle extension work since 1916.
