Several households are busy moving to new residences. John Oftedahl family relocates to an apartment vacated by Robert Johnson and family. X ray drive for tuberculosis screening in Forest City
The 11th annual contact case finding uses a mobile X ray unit to screen about 45 people in Forest City on May 12. Mrs. Mattie Peterson, RN, coordinates referrals from physicians, with X ray readings by a state radiologist and reports mailed to doctors. The program, funded partly by Christmas Seals, is sponsored by the Winnebago County Tuberculosis and Health Association and supported by the Iowa Department of Health and the Winnebago Medical Society.

Mrs Iverson was elected as the new president of the Wo teen's Community Club at a Tuesday City Hall meeting. Long time community resident Mrs Lena Glorfeld died at Broadlawns hospital in Des Moines on Tuesday May in her 84th year. Burial services are set for 2:00 p.m. Friday May at the local Methodist church with Rev Peterson officiating. Next week's Tribune will carry a full obituary.

Mrs. Monsen Dies in Cedar Rapids at 79
Mrs. Martha Monsen died in her 80th year at her daughter Mrs Sarah Gulbrand’s home in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday morning May 3. Funeral services were held at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids on Thursday afternoon with interment at Memorial Cemetery. A longtime Buffalo Center resident, she moved to Cedar Rapids seven years ago to live with family.

Mother Taken Ill of Roy Morgan’s Mother in Minnesota
Mrs. W. P. Morgan, mother of Roy Morgan, became suddenly ill Tuesday and was taken by Winter ambulance to the Methodist hospital at Rochester, Minnesota for treatment. Mr. W. P. Morgan remained with her. They have been visiting with their son and family for two weeks. Their home is by Bryan, Ohio.

The Hebron Township Homemakers Club met at the William Huglin home on Friday afternoon April 15 with good attendance. Elsie Larson and Florence Huglin reported on Rural Women's Day, and a discussion planned next year’s study topics. Plan Change In Game Refuge Boundaries
The U S Fish and Wildlife Service announced boundary changes for sanctuaries within the 287 mile Upper Mississippi Refuge. After a Dubuque meeting, Iowa Minnesota Wisconsin Illinois and the service agreed to tighten protection and habitat while adjusting hunting access with about 22 percent closed and 78 percent open to waterfowl hunting. Public meetings will be held in towns along the Mississippi including Winona LaCrosse Prairie du Chien Alma Clinton and Savannah with dates to be announced.

Under the new federal wool program Winnebago County sheepmen will receive government payments to lift the national average price to 62 cents a pound. Payments depend on the producer’s net market return, with higher payments for those who net more.
