Union Slough National Wildlife Refuge and the Friends of Union Slough host a public International Migratory Bird Day on Saturday May 14. Multiple defendants face charges or have pled guilty in Winnebago County. Juan Vasquez charged with theft criminal mischief burglary and trespass with an April 10 2016 filing and an arraignment set May 10. Michael Gardner pled guilty to marijuana delivery and meth possession with sentencing June 3 2016. Adrian Elton and Jessie Holmes have probation modifications and BEJE placement. Eric Kruse held in contempt and jailed 60 days. Tyree Mendez pled guilty to possession with intent to deliver with a three year probation and civil penalties. Cole Richardson pled guilty to false license claim deer and turkey restrictions with fines and possible liquidated damages. A list of scheduled violations shows numerous speeding seatbelt and registration fines across several towns. Land transfers are recorded for numerous properties in Forest City Thompson and Lake Mills among others.
